First of all, we hope you enjoyed 2011 as much as we did. Remember Audi’s win at Le Mans by a margin of just 13.854 seconds, and Benoît Tréluyer’s five stints in the same race on the same set of Michelin tyres? There was also Peugeot’s second Intercontinental Le Mans Cup crown, plus Oreca’s winning achievement at Sebring, the launch of the new Ferrari 458 Italia GT and so much more…
There is every chance you will love 2012, too, when we can look forward to the new-look WEC, Toyota’s return to Le Mans with a prototype that will be unveiled at the end of January, preparations for Porsche’s return to LMP1 in 2014, and the development of hybrid power at Audi and Peugeot, etc., etc.
The 2012 WEC will kick off in Florida with the 60th running of the 12 Hours of Sebring on March 17, while the Le Mans 24 Hours will celebrate its 80th edition on June 16-17.
Have a great 2012, and we’ll be back very soon with news from the world of endurance racing.
