The 58th edition of the Grand Prix of Macao will be held next weekend in that Asian “Sin City”, a 5 min. rickshaw hop from Zhuhai. Edoardo Mortara is racing here this weekend as preparation for his first race in a GT car in that annual classic

The last qualifying session of the 2011 season went well for Peugeot as their two cars will start the 6 Hours of Zhuhai from the front row, with Anthony Davidson on pole thanks to a time of 1’21’’769. In the GT class, Jorg Muller turned in the quickest time (1’34’’506) in his BMW.

Last Thursday night, we were invited to visit the Spark factory in Zhuhai, where they make miniatures cars, and specifically some that race in the 24 Hours of Le Mans colours.

The easiest way to get to Zhuhai from Europe is to fly into Hong Kong and board a ferry for a good one-hour ride from the airport directly to Zhuhai.
