Martin Brundle and his son Alex will drive a Greaves Motorsport-entered Zytek-Nissan at next year’s Le Mans 24 Hours.
Following in the shoes of the Mansell father and son act in in 2010, the Brundle family is gearing up to contesting the world’s most famous endurance race. Former F1 racer Martin, 52, has already taken part in the French competition on several occasions in the past, including 1990 when he won for Jaguar. He also won the 1988 Sport Car world title in 1988. For the record, the same year saw the British driver step in as a late replacement for Nigel Mansell at the Belgian Grand Prix.
His 21-year old son Alex competed in the Formula Palmer Audi series before moving on to Formula 2, and then Formula 3. In 2011, he returned to F2 and came seventh in the championship. He will get his first taste of Le Mans in a Greaves Motorsport-run LMP2 Zytek-Nissan.
