Here I am, back at Road Atlanta for this year’s Petit Le Mans, penultimate round of the 2011 Intercontinental Le Mans Cup. Please forgive me if you find me making excessive usage of superlatives at times over the next few days, but this really is a special place to come racing!
Julien Jousse and Manu Collard took their MICHELIN-equipped Pescarolo-Judd to victory in the final round of the 2011 Le Mans Series (LMS). The result hands them this year’s LMP1 Drivers’ title, while Rebellion Racing clinched the Teams’ crown.
The fifth and final round of the 2011 Le Mans Series takes place this weekend at Estoril, near Lisbon, Portugal, where some 30 cars are expected to contest the six-hour race.
The factory Aston Martin team (Mucke/Primat/Fernandez) returned to its winning ways last weekend at the legendary Laguna Seca circuit, California, which hosted the eighth round of the 2011 American Le Mans Series.

For the third time in this year’s ILMC, victory has gone to the N°7 Peugeot 908! Sébastien Bourdais and Simon Pagenaud took the top prize in the Silverstone 6 Hours ahead of the N°1 Audi (Bernhard/Fassler) and OAK Racing’s N°24 Pescarolo-Judd.
Halfway into the 2011 Silverstone 6 Hours, Simon Pagenaud (N°7 Peugeot/MICHELIN) tops the order, although he is only 0.330s (!) clear of the N°1 Audi which is currently in the hands of Marcel Fassler. There’s a great scrap for third place, too, between the N°15 OAK Racing Pescarolo-Judd and the N°12 Rebellion Lola-Toyota!
