The 2007 Formula 1 World Champion Kimi Raikkonen will test drive a Peugeot 908 tomorrow at Aragon, Spain. The Finn has been trying for some time to sample an LMP1 prototype.

Road America: Aston Martin by a whisker
The ALMS’s visit to Road America was won by the Aston Martin/MICHELIN of Graf/Luhr who crossed the line a tenth of a second ahead of the Smith/Dyson Lola-Mazda!

Le Mans winner Timo Bernhard in a Porsche
Spectators will see the 2010 Le Mans winner Timo Bernhard in action this weekend. The Audi star is driving a Michelin-equipped Porsche 911 GT3 Cup in the national-level rally which contests the stages after the WRC runners have been through. The German’s steep learning curve is already producing strong results.

ILMC action to resume soon!
The Intercontinental Le Mans Cup teams will be back in action in three weeks’ time when they travel to England for the Silverstone 6 Hours. A field of 54 cars is expected for the final European round of this series which will gain FIA World Championship status in 2012.

Following the factory Aston Martin team’s announcement that it intends to continue its 2011 programme with a closed-cockpit LMP1 prototype, a Lola-Aston Martin took the win at the Mid-Ohio round of this year’s American Le Mans Series.
