MICHELIN GREEN X Challenge success for Highcroft Racing and BMW!
Highcroft Racing’s HPD-ARX 01e and the N°56 factory BMW respectively claimed the top LMP and GT prizes in the MICHELIN GREEN X Challenge.

This is the third year of the MICHELIN GREEN X Challenge – a classification which seeks to encourage energy-efficient performance – at Sebring.
The prototype class at the first round of the 2011 championship was won by the HPD-ARX 01e of Brabham/Franchitti/Pagenaud which also finished second overall. The latest E10 bioethanol-fuelled Honda engine proved competitive, reliable and economical. The new car was joined on the MICHELIN GREEN X podium by the N°1 Audi and the N°7 Peugeot.

Proving once more that energy-efficiency and performance are not incompatible, the MICHELIN GREEN X Challenge’s GT class was won by the N°56 BMW M3 which also runs on E10 fuel and which took GT honours today at Sebring. The top-three was rounded off by the N°04 Corvette and the N°44 Porsche.
