PEUGEOT ARRIVEE

Peugeot Sport continues the development of the 90X

Happily, Marc Gené’s recent accident during testing at Aragon, Spain, had no serious consequences, either for the Spaniard himself – although he did undergo a quick hospital check-up – or for the 90X’s development programme. Indeed, the team is in the process of preparing the new car’s official unveiling.

At the end of last week, Marc Gené, Pedro Lamy, Nico Minassian and Anthony Davidson attended a media operation with the Peugeot 908 HDi FAP at Le Castellet, in the south of France, where a handful of journalists were treated to a test ride…

This week, meanwhile, Stéphane Sarrazin is due to fly to Kuala Lumpur for a similar operation. At the end of November, the Peugeot driver obtained a top-three finish on France’s Rallye du Var in a 207 S2000. His thoughts will now turn to January’s Rallye Monte-Carlo for which PSA – through Peugeot – has chosen not to enter the quick Sébastien Ogier, although the group will be represented by the 2003 World Rally Champion Petter Solberg.
