Greg Pickett and Klaus Graf claimed their first win at the wheel of the Muscle Milk Cytosport Porsche RS Spyder ahead of Pagenaud/Brabham (HPD-ARX 01c, Highcroft Racing). The GT contest was won by the N°45 Flying Lizard Porsche.

Pole-winner Simon Pagenaud (Highcroft Racing HPD-ARX 01c) was caught napping by the three Lola prototypes at the start and was fourth by the end of Lap 1.
The Frenchman soon recovered, however, to reclaim second spot, before taking control when Jonny Cocker’s Drayson Racing Lola hit electrical trouble. The Cytosport Porsche RS Spyder (Graf/Pickett) remained in the immediate slipstream of the HPD-ARX 01c and took the lead when the latter pitted shortly after the halfway point.
Highcroft Racing was running a one-stop strategy compared with two for Cytosport, but a string of extremely quick laps by Klaus Graf enabled the N°6 Porsche RS Spyder to maintain its advantage after its second stop, which resulted in a thrilling scrap between the two LMP2 machines during the final hour.
Brabham succeeded in closing the gap by a handful of seconds but Graf managed to ward off the threat, despite a stop&go penalty for the Porsche crew which was counter-balanced by a puncture for the HPD-ARX 01c with 10 minutes remaining.
The GT class was won by Patrick Long and Jorg Bergmeister who were in winning form once again at Lime Rock Park in the Flying Lizard Porsche. The N°92 and N°90 BMW M3s led for much of the race but fell back after their second stop, although both cars finished on the podium. The N°61 Risi Competizione Ferrari of Salo/Kaffer was fourth ahead of the N°4 Corvette (Gavin/Beretta) which lost ground with a stop&go penalty early on.
Two 2010 title contenders – the N°62 Ferrari (Melo/Bruni) and the N°3 Corvette (O’Connel/Magnussen) – failed to finish in the big points after tangling around 20 laps into the race.
The N°99 car of Jeannette/Julian overcame an empty fuel tank in the last lap to win the LMPC category ahead of the N°52 car (Papadopoulos/Figge). The two crews finished third and fourth overall.
