It has been announced that the last round of this year’s Intercontinental Le Mans Cup will take place in Zhuhai, China, on November 6-7, 2010.

The Chinese race will be the third event in this newly-created series after Silverstone and Petit Le Mans (Road Atlanta). Zhuhai is in Guangdong province and the 4.3km-long circuit has already hosted several international meetings in the past (A1 GP, FIA GT).

Following earlier entries from Audi and Drayson Racing, Peugeot has confirmed its participation in the 2010 Intercontinental Le Mans Cup which will award Constructors’ titles for both the LMP1 and LMGT2 classes. Taking part in all three races is no longer mandatory…

It is expected that the Intercontinental Le Mans Cup will be extended to take in six races in 2011 (not including the Le Mans 24 Hours), with two fixtures in America, two in Europe and two in Asia, ahead of a possible World Endurance Championship in 2012.
