Giancarlo Fisichella and Jean Alesi are shortly to get behind the wheel of the AF Corse-tended F430 GT they will share for this year’s Le Mans Series and in June’s Le Mans 24 Hours.

Endurance racing is attracting a growing number of former Formula 1 stars, and the likes of Nigel Mansell, Allan McNish and Olivier Panis are now joined in this trend by Giancarlo Fisichella and Jean Alesi.

Michelin and its LMGT2 partner AF Corse have booked a session together at Vallelunga, Italy, on February 26, where Fisichella (three Grand Prix wins) and Alesi (32 GP podium finishes) will get a chance to familiarise themselves with the Ferrari F430 GT they will share during this year’s endurance season. Michelin will use the run to test wider front tyres.
